Analysis of polyphenols and carotenes

TECHNIQUE

Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography or UHPLC is a technique that allows separating, identifying and quantifying the components of a complex mixture. The separation is based on the different distribution of components between two immiscible phases, one mobile and one stationary, the last one retained within a column.

ANALYSIS

We perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of polyphenols and carotenes in a wide variety of food and biological matrices (citrus, grapes, wine, tomato products, urine, plasma, etc.).

EQUIPMENT

Our laboratory has a Waters ACQUITY UPLC System (HP Agilent Technologies 1100 LC system equipped with an auto sampler), enabling robust and reproducible analysis in a short time thanks to the new columns of 2 microns particles and the use of high pressures.
